Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is this tool truly secure? Are my files uploaded?
Absolutely secure. We guarantee that your files remain on your computer at all times. All PDF parsing and image extraction processes are handled by JavaScript in your browser, and no data is sent to our servers.
Are the extracted images in their original quality?
Yes. This tool extracts the raw image data embedded within the PDF, whether it's JPEG, PNG, or another format. The images are extracted at their original resolution and quality without any re-compression or modification.
Why can't images be extracted from some PDFs?
This can happen for a few reasons: a) The "images" in the PDF are actually vector graphics, not bitmap images (like photos), which this tool currently does not extract. b) The PDF file is corrupted or not standard-compliant. c) The PDF is encrypted with content extraction restrictions.
Can I download only a selection of the images?
Of course. Each extracted image has its own "Download" button. You can also use the filters in the action bar to show only images of a certain size, then click the "Download All" button to get a ZIP file of just the filtered results.
